Commisioner for Global Positoning

OK, OK, we know how absolutely absurd any discussion would be that doesn't include Chicago in that world class, alpha category. Certainly no arguments from me on that score. Let's dismiss that nonsense from the start.

Still, like every city, we can always do better.

So what if a major new position were established by the City of Chicago. We'll call it the Commisioner for Global Positioning. It job, clear and simple, is to not only keep Chicago's lofty position among its peer world cities, but to actually enhance the city's prominence vis-a-vis the competition. In other words: make Chicago right up there with the very top of the heap. Nothing short of the stratosphere will do.

And you, through luck, skill, and pure love of Chicago (and, of course, good looks and personality), were appointed to that very important and very lucrative ($300,000/yr.) job. WHAT ACTIONS WOULD YOU TAKE TO EARN THAT SALARY AND TO RAISE CHICAGO'S ALREADY IMPRESSIVE PROFILE, COMMISIONER?>
