Share your harebrained scheme for an Olympic stadium

Daley has signalled his interest in pursuing a bid for the Summer Olympic Games in 2016, and already Chicagolanders are thinking "outside the box" about how to create the required 80,000+ seat stadium that a Games will require.

Even before the current Olympics buzz, Chicagoan Jeanne Gang had explored the idea of a folding rooftop stadium for her entry at the Venice Biennale: http://www.studiogang.net/studiogang...ges/venice.htm

Meanwhile, Daley recently suggested adapting the facilities at Notre Dame or NW as an option, or of luring a new NFL franchise to Chicago.

What are your ideas for Chicago's venue? It must seat 80,0000+, and be usable in some form after the games.

One of my harebrained schemes would be to moor a floating stadium on Lake Michigan, and then, after the games, to tug it up to Evanston & reassemble it on the lakeshore for NW to use as a new Bowl.

Lets hear yours!>
