Chicago City Model Returns to CAF

At long last, an updated Chicago city model has returned to the Chicago Architecture Foundation's City Space Gallery at the Santa Fe Building. Honestly, this thing had been AWOL for so long that I was beginning to think it might have been damaged or destroyed...

Fear not, though - the model looks nifty. I was surprised & gratified that TTC & Waterview are there, as well as a massing slab for Aqua (!!!), though 340 appears not to scale.

I spent some time crouching down to simulate skyline views w/the new towers from various approaches to the city - no big surprises, thanks largely to STR's excellent computer models, although Waterview Tower makes somewhat more of an impact than I'd anticipated. But hey, go down & have a look for yourselves!>
