Dixie Square Mall

Why does in Dixie Square Mall went shut down in 1979? (It seems like first dead mall in US) Dixie Square Mall was built in 1966 and went shut down in 1979, that about 12 years to shut down after built. I'm not surprised about it. Have you visited Harvey before? Is it's like decline of neigborhood and went changed into bad repulation.>
